Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies (regular or double stuff)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

2 cups milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

gummy worms (for decoration)

edible soil (crushed cookies for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Oreo Crust: In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until they resemble fine crumbs. Reserve about 1 cup of these crumbs for topping the cake later. Mix the remaining crumbs with melted butter in a bowl until combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and softened butter. Mix well until fully combined.

Combine the Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until everything is well combined and smooth. Be careful not to deflate the whipped topping.

Prepare the Chocolate Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes until it thickens. Allow it to sit for a couple of minutes until it’s fully set.

Layering the Cake: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust evenly, followed by half of the chocolate pudding. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the pudding layer on top.

Add the Crushed Cookies: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos over the top layer of pudding to create a dirt effect.

Decorate: Place gummy worms on top of the cake for decoration, as if they are crawling through the dirt.

Chill: Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Serve: Once chilled, scoop out portions and enjoy your delicious, fun, and unique Oreo Dirt Cake!
